Lewistown AMX Race Track

General Information:

1. Meetings:
Lewistown AMX meets the "Tuesday following the race" Submit all inquires in writing to board members prior to that meeting.

2. Entry Fees:
Super Stock Car Race - $50.00}
Stock Car Race - $50.00         } These fees include one (1) pitman pass at no extra charge.
Mini Stock Car Race - $35.00 }
Extra Pitman Pass - $6.00 (one extra per entry)
Extra Pit Passes - $10.00
Motorcycle Race - $10.00} this fee does not include a free pitman
ATV Race - $10.00} this fee does not include a free pitman

Fees must be paid at the time of registration, cash or personal check accepted.

3. Pay outs, Regular races: All payouts are at the Tuesday After the Race Meeting.

Payouts to Heat Winners! Heat winners can expect to capture their entry fee by winning their heat.

Stock and Super Stock will run Trophy Dashes and they will be mandatory. They will be 3 lap dashes. Winners of the heats plus one wild card car that will be drawn by a fan. If the wild car wins the trophy dash that fan will win $50.00. The driver will win $50.00 and the Trophy.

5. Number Drawing:
There will be two numbers drawn for position. One will be used for the heats and the other for the mains. If a driver misses the final check-in time, he will be positioned at the back of the line-up. Drivers may have someone draw a number for them or they can call prior requesting a number to be drawn in the event of late arrival.
The penalty for missing the final check-in time, 3:00 p.m., is a late fee of $20.00.

6. "30" Car Rule:
When under 30 cars are entered into any race division, the number of cars advanced to the mains can be modified to fit the program. If 30 cars or more are entered, then only 2 cars advance to the A Main, the next 2 advance to the B Main, etc.

7. Powder Puff Information:
There is NO Powder Puff designated at the Lewistown Track. Effective 5/1/2000.

8. Race Time:
Racing begins promptly at 6:00 p.m. unless otherwise noted.

9.Type of Start:
Rolling 3 abreast(unless otherwise specified) for cars, ATV's and Motorcycles.

Rules listed below apply to the Lewistown AMX Track only. For Information on other tracks and specific rules that apply to them, look under the track name on the Rules and Regulations Home Page.

1. Bumping In The Arena:
In an effort to keep the Fergus County Fairground Arena safe from damage, the AMX enforces a No Hit rule within the confines of the fenced arena. We also enforce a Safe Zone in the center of the arena where the track is not located.

2. Three Tire Rule:
If during the course of a race, a vehicle becomes three tired, (whether flat, spit off the rim, broken spindle, etc.), the driver will be black-flagged. The driver may enter the pit to correct the problem and return to the track. The exceptionis: If this situation should occur during the last 3 laps in the race, the driver will be allowed to continue for the finish.

3. Staging Area:
Because of the tight area in which to line-up the cars for their heats/mains, only one pitman may assist a driver in that area. For safety reasons, the pitman MUST stay on the passenger side of the car, keeping the car between himself and on-track vehicles.

5. Motorcycle:
Riders must push their bikes to and from the track at all times. The bike pit will be located in the horse arena.

6. ATV’s:
Remember that there is a pit speed limit. Excessive speed or exhibition riding in the pit and/or staging areas will be grounds for disciplinary action. Your pit will also be located in the horse arena.
