Rules and Specs
General rules and vehicle specs, for each of the three classes of racing that make up Auto Moto Xross racing, is available to each racetrack affiliated with AMX. (see below: advertising for website address)
AMX Point System
Each racetrack that is affiliated with the Auto Moto Xross Racing Association becomes part of the AMX Point System. Race results from each race will be calculated into the standings.
Advertising
By becoming affiliated, your race events will be group advertised in conjunction with all other affiliated AMX racetracks. In addition, race information for each affiliated racetrack will be placed on the www.automotoxross.com website. Information at this site includes race dates, track information, race results and currently updated AMX Point standings.
Apparel
Your affiliation fee gives your racetrack the opportunity to access official AMX Racing apparel and other items related to AMX Racing.
Auto Moto Xross Racing Association and Board of Directors
The Auto Moto Xross Racing Association Board of Directors is solely responsible for creating and updating the general rules and vehicle specs relating to AMX racing. Your affiliation fee does not give you or any person, the right to a "chair" on the board or the right to change the general AMX rules and specs (see individual track rules). However, the Auto Moto Xross Racing Association welcomes suggestions that would make for better and safer racing.
Individual Track Rules
The AMX is aware that each racetrack has its own set of problems that may require a unique set of track rules that would apply in addition to the AMX General Rules. Each track is responsible for their individual track rules, not the Auto Moto Xross Racing Association. These rules should be made available to the AMX for publishing on the website.
Obligations:
As an affiliated racetrack, you are obligated to post each of your race results to the AMX Points Secretary no later than five (5) days after each race date. Send complete race information indicating the finishing position of each driver entered including those who could not finish, to the website address located at www.automotoxross.com, or P.O. Box 221 Lewistown, Mt. 59457 The race results will be published on the website and the points will be calculated from your results with current standings being published on the website as well as any newspaper articles that might accompany those results.
Statement of Intention
It is important to note, that in NO way is the Auto Moto Xross Racing Association making any attempt at controlling your race or racetrack. Each track is responsible for design, management, workforce, payouts, scheduling, etc. The AMX rules are merely a guideline for race management to use. It is favorable for each track to use similar guidelines. This makes it easier for the drivers to travel to other tracks without making changes to their car. However, since each track has their own set of problems, individual track rules in addition to the general rules are allowed.
